District Officers Workshop

Day of Scouting

Officer Workshop 9:00 AM

The District Officer Workshop is for Board Members, District Chairman, District Committee Members, Commissioners and Chartered Organization Representatives. The focus of the workshop is increasing retention in Scouting of both youth and adults though effective district operations and using the Journey to Excellence benchmarks.

Lunch 12:00 PM

Participants are invited to bring their own lunch or visit one of the nearby local restaurants.

Annual Business Meeting 1:00 PM

The Great Alaska Council’s Annual Business Meeting is for Board Members, Chartered Organization Representatives. The meeting is open to all, seating is by voting privileges. The Council’s Officers for 2012 will be elected as part of the Business Meeting along with progress reports presented from each District.

Scoutmaster Workshop 1:00 PM

Recruitment, retention, and advancement. This workshop is designed to help troop and crew leaders improve their programs across the board.

Council’s Recognition Dinner

Please also plan to attend the Council’s Recognition Dinner at the Coast International Inn the same day. Silver Beaver Reception begins at 5:00 pm and the dinner program will begin at 6:00 pm. Cost is $50 per person.
